- error TS7016: Could not find a declaration file for module '<pkg>'. '…the package ships plain JS with no .d.ts and no @types/<pkg> is installed; under noImplicitAny (part of strict, on by default since TS 6.0) an untyped import is an error.
- error TS5110: Option 'module' must be set to 'NodeNext'since TS 5.2 node16/nodenext resolution is accepted only with a matching Node module setting; module esnext, commonjs or the default no longer pair with it.
- error TS2593: Cannot find name 'describe'. Do you need to install typ…test globals come from ambient type packages that are not loaded: TS 6.0 made compilerOptions.types default to [] (no @types auto-include), or the runner's types are not installed.
- error TS2307: Cannot find module '@/<path>' or its corresponding type…'@/' is not a package: tsc resolves it only through compilerOptions.paths, and the tsconfig covering this file maps no such prefix (or relied on baseUrl, which TS 7 removed).

"skipLibCheck": true — only skips checking .d.ts files that exist; a missing declaration file is still TS7016. (×1) · record
// @ts-ignore above the import, or "strict": false — hides the report while the module stays any; strict false also turns off noImplicitAny and the other strict checks project-wide. (×1) · record
"moduleResolution": "node" (node10) — silences TS5110 but ignores package.json "exports"; node10 is deprecated in TS 6.0 and rejected by TS 7.0. (×1) · record
pin TypeScript back to 5.1 — only hides the mismatch the 5.2 check exposed (Node-style resolution with non-Node emit); TS 6 and 7 enforce the same rule. (×1) · record
add "types": ["jest"] to tsconfig.app.json while another tsconfig compiles the tests — types applies per program; only the tsconfig whose include covers *.test.ts (the one tsc -p or the editor uses) matters. (×1) · record
install @types/jest and change nothing else (TypeScript 6+) — TS 6.0+ no longer loads node_modules/@types automatically; the package must be listed in types (or "types": ["*"]). (×1) · record
add paths, then run the tsc output with plain node — paths only informs type-checking; the emitted JS still imports '@/...' and Node fails with Cannot find module / ERR_MODULE_NOT_FOUND. (×1) · record
declare module '@/*' in a .d.ts file — TS2307 goes away because every aliased import becomes any; real type errors behind the alias disappear with it. (×1) · record
