forge-cli
2 records of known failures, each with its cause, the fix and what not to try.
Records
- forge deploy / forge lint: Error: Invalid response body@forge/cli fetches the lint swagger specs and the deploy wrapper.js asset via node-fetch@2, whose gzip handling is broken on Node 22.x and 24.17.x, so every such download closes early.
- forge deploy: Error: TypeScript errors in the app caused the bundling…@forge/cli 12.18.0 bundles its own TypeScript 4.8.4; TS 4.9 added `0: string` to RegExpExecArray, so under noUncheckedIndexedAccess the bundler alone types m[0] as string | undefined.
Don’t try
forge deploy --no-verify — skips only the lint download; the packaging wrapper.js download still dies. (×1) · record
node-version "24" in CI — resolves to 24.17.x, which carries the bug. (×1) · record
retry the same deploy on the same Node — the node-fetch gzip failure is deterministic on those Node versions (4/4 failures), unlike the separate transient upload flake. (×1) · record
bump the repo's typescript devDependency — forge deploy never uses it; the compiler that matters is the one under node_modules/@forge/cli. (×1) · record
// @ts-expect-error on the line — TS 5.9 sees no error there, so the directive itself fails as unused. (×1) · record
