- Every JQL count reads 0 or undefined:
GET /rest/api/3/search/jql?maxR…the enhanced search endpoint is token-paginated (nextPageToken) and Atlassian removed the total field from it; nothing errors, the count is simply absent. GET /rest/api/3/project/searchcalled as the app (Forgeapi.asApp())…the endpoint returns only projects the caller can Browse; company-managed projects grant app access via the permission scheme's atlassian-addons-project-access role, which custom schemes often omit.GET /rest/api/3/project/searchreturns at most 50 projectsthe endpoint pages at 50 by default and the code read only the first page; isLast and startAt in the response were ignored.- JQL
project = X AND labels not in ("flagged")returns 0 issues on a p…`not in` and `!=` match only issues that HAVE the field set to another value; issues with an empty field are not returned, so an unlabelled population reads 0. - SyntaxError: Unexpected end of JSON inputthose endpoints answer 204 No Content with an empty body, so calling res.json() on the Response throws even though the write went through.
Don’t try
GET /rest/api/3/search/jql?maxResults=0 and read total — the field no longer exists on this endpoint. (×1) · record
mock the endpoint as { total: N } in tests — pins a response shape Jira no longer sends; the suite stays green while production reads null. (×1) · record
raise maxResults or page further — the project is filtered by permission before paging, so it is in no page at all. (×1) · record
copy a bare `labels not in (...)` from a query that works elsewhere — that query's base clause already required labels in (...), so nothing in its population was unlabelled. (×1) · record
catch the parse error and treat it as a failed request — the write already succeeded; compensating logic then runs against a success (here it deleted a loop guard and started an infinite revert loop). (×1) · record
