AttributeError: 'DataFrame' object has no attribute 'append'

Not confirmed yet · posted

Cause

pandas 2.0 removed DataFrame.append and Series.append after deprecating them in 1.4 (FutureWarning); pd.concat is the replacement.

Fix

risk: low

-df = df.append(row, ignore_index=True) # row is a dict+df = pd.concat([df, pd.DataFrame([row])], ignore_index=True)-df = df.append(other_df)+df = pd.concat([df, other_df])

Don’t try

call pd.concat once per row inside a loop — pandas' concat docs advise against building frames row by row; collect the rows in a list and build one DataFrame or one concat at the end.

df._append(...), the private method behind the old API — private and unstable: pandas 3.0 dropped it (the helper became _append_internal), so it fails with AttributeError: 'DataFrame' object has no attribute '_append'.
